Here are St. Joe's we do not have any designated Greek housing. Many girls form close friendships within their sororities (and between other sororities) and may find themselves choosing to live in their sophomore on-campus apartment or upperclassmen housing with other girls in Greek life. There is no Greek housing provided by Saint Joseph's University for student's in Greek life.
Q5:
How can I learn more about each individual sorority to help me decide where I belong?

Throughout the Fall semester each sorority has an event known as "Meet the Sisters". During this event girls interested in rushing are encouraged to attend and meet the girls in the sorority. Meet the Sisters night is a great way to see a chapter interacting with each other and with potential new members. At the end of the fall semester Panhellenic council holds a big Meet the Sisters event called "Meet the Sororities" where potential new members can go and experience all of the sororities in one room. This is great opportunity for potential new members to see the sororities side by side, it is also the last chance for potential new members to see the sororities before primary recruitment.
Q6:
How long will I be a new member?

The new member process normally lasts between 6-9 weeks, each sorority holds initiation (initiation marks the end of being a new member) at a different time.
Q7:
What is a Recruitment Counselor?

Recruitment Counselors are a special group of women who provide a more enjoyable and less stressful atmosphere during recruitment. Recruitment Counselor's are there to neutrally answer questions and guide potential members without either woman concerned about the Recruitment Counselor's feelings toward a particular chapter. A Recruitment Counselor has experienced all aspects of recruitment: going through recruitment, recruiting for her sorority, and serving as a Recruitment Counselor for Panhellenic. Your Recruitment Counselor will provide information about the week, accompany you to recruitment week functions, and provide a listening ear as you make your decisions concerning sorority membership.
